About Midland Foxhounds
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., develops character, leadership, confidence and a sense of community in youth through a program that teaches the care of horses and ponies, riding and mounted sports.
Pony Club is one of the leading equestrian organizations in the world, represented throughout 30 countries. The United States has over 600 individual Clubs spread throughout 48 states and the Virgin Islands.
Midland Foxhounds Pony Club founded in 1956. We service youth and adult riders in Columbus, GA and the surrounding areas. Midland Foxhounds Pony Club provides opportunities for riders of all levels to improve their horsemanship and make new friends. Our activities support character development, teamwork and good sportsmanship.
Members participate in discounted mounted lessons with excellent instructors, unmounted meetings and social events each month. Fun and friendship while becoming better horsemen is the theme for both our youth and adult members! Meetings are held both indoors and outdoors throughout the year at area riding facilities and various members’ homes.
Our 2019 members ranging in age from 8 -62, with ratings from D1 to HB! We work as a team to prepare for competitive rallies and offer opportunities for clinics held throughout Georgia and Alabama. We are active locally, regionally and nationally with USPC.
We welcome new members throughout the year.
USPC Pony Clubs and Riding Centers are assigned to one of 41 geographical regions, which are administered by a volunteer Regional Supervisor (RS) and other appointed and elected officers. Regions offer additional activities and opportunities for members and support for the club and center leaders under their administration.
Midland Foxhounds Pony Club is part of the South Region.
